Not the first I've heard of this beer scam. I think it happens in most stadiums.

Just for the record -- Oakland is one of the most cosmopolitan and livable cities in the nation.

It also boasts the best climate.

No no no no, you're thinking San Francisco, that pretty one across the bay. Oakland is where they store all the criminals ever since Alcatraz closed...

It's amazing that someone from Oakland was able to figure that out.

Are you trying to use the sarcasm icon? Because if you are not, you need a lesson in the crappiness of Oakland.

Only the story shows up. Where is the video?

That's why I don't drink the beers at sporting events, drink as many as you can before and after.

Climate is very nice. But having lived there twice, I can't agree with the "most livable" part--unless you are very well-to-do and can afford to live in the hills. I lived right by Lake Merritt not that long ago, which is one of the nice areas of the flats that was not too expensive. I was glad to get out. Of course the endless drum circles on weekends across the street in the park may have had something to do with that.

The Rockridge area is kind of nice, but BADLY overpriced. Culturally, it has really become a just a rich, hip Berkeley south rather than Oakland. I lived in Rockridge before it became a suburb of Berkeley. It was a pretty nice working-class community then. But that was a lot of years ago and today you ought to be hip, rich, and very edgy (in that forced, mellow NorCal sorta way) to live there and enjoy it. My edgy days are long gone and I never really had any mellow ones, forced or otherwise.

And then there was Oakland Coliseum. Regardless whether it was a football game or a concert, I've never seen a trashier, more violent crowd in a place that cost so much money to get into. Every time I went there I saw more than one serious fight.

This was a big deal before the Seahawks playoff game too. The story was that there was a manufacture error and both cups ended up the same size. I think in that case, they sold all beers at the lower price to make up for it but the small cups were just bigger than they were supposed to be. Noone got less than they expected, some just got free beer.
