Default O.T recipe help?

I got a recipe for a chicken marinade and it asks for 4 rounds ginger. Does anyone know what 4 rounds ginger means?

wouldnt use too much, but i assume its asking for fresh ginger, so maybe 4 total slices. strong, strong stuff.

I cooked professionally for 12 years and never heard it called that, however I agree with the guy with the broken shift key. Four slices is plenty.

Maybe it was ground ginger? It asks for 2 cups soy sauce 4 rounds of ginger 3 minced cloves of garlic 3 tablespoons of brown sugar maybe that will help with how much I should add?

I was planning on grilling it this weekend because its only 3 degrees in rapid city SD today so I can ger whatever I need before then.

I'd bet it's 4Tbsp. ground ginger.....

But I'd also imagine that it's calling for fresh grated ginger as opposed to powdered ginger because according to this 1/8 tsp. ginger powder = 1 tbsp
fresh grated.

Substitutions: 1/8 tsp ground ginger = 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger (though the flavor of ground ginger can be significantly different from fresh).

At the end of the day, it's just a marinade. Just grab a fresh ginger root & grate a few tbsp into your marinade & adjust to taste the next time around.
