A lot of times these coaches know a lot of football. They know how to coach defense and offense etc etc, or rb's oline, qbs or wr's.

Eagles fans aren't too happy about it. It is unconventional for sure. But they stole one of the leagues best D-line coaches away from Tennessee and replaced Castillo at O-line with a very respected coach so they'll probably be fine. Other than Mora Jr. and Allen (if they even offered him) I don't think they made any offers.

The Eagles also lured Howard Mudd out of retirement to coach their O-line. That was huge, he is a top 3 OL coach and The Indy people were stunned he came back after one year.

Yup, as I noted above without the specifics. They now have among the best people in the business coaching both their O and D lines.

Didn't Rick Dennison jump around a few spaces for us? Wasn't he our linebackers coach, then special teams, then line, then offensive coordinator?

Down in Port Isabel, Texas, they celebrate "Juan Castillo Day"... on JULY 4TH!!!
The man is a legend down there.

I think it was ST to OL to OC. That's a more "normal" progression.
