Default Your top websites

Not including the mane or single source news sites (aggregates are cool). If I did that my top two would be the mane and BBC News.

1. http://theselvedgeyard.wordpress.com/

Guys blog. Ignore the fashion bits and check out all the rad images and stories. This is American history and American cool!

2. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/

Generally the best football takes I've seen online.

3. http://www.metacritic.com/

Use it for everything though the new design is clunky and unnecessary.

4. http://slatest.slate.com/

My favourite news aggregate site. If you get lost in the news this place offers an aweomse balance.

If you can't tell already... my picks aren't all that good. I spend most of my surfing time looking at old stuff on ebay or investigating new music on youtube.

http://io9.com/

good movie info and general geekary...

http://www.hockeysfuture.com

Hockey crap

http://www.sporcle.com/

good quizzes

A lot of other sites that people would find dull (criminology based) and most sports sites everyone already knows/reads...

Hmm...

www.ign.com - I tend to be a game junkie. Articles are ok. usually good breaking news info.

www.g4tv.com - I like G4. Attack of the Show is one of my favorites. Like the site, too.

www.amazon.com - I'm also a book whore. What I can't get at Borders or Hastings I get at amazon.

www.outsports.com - gay sports site. Considering alot of people hold the view of gay men all being flaming queens or interior designers, this type of site generally confuses people. Gay dudes liking sports for the sport....

http://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/ - classical philosophy with a modern slant. genius.

http://thedailybell.com/index.asp- A little too conspiratorial for everyday reading but solid economic analysis for the most part regarding worldwide events.

http://www.crossfit.com/ - Workout Of The Day is always a good one. Good resource for strength building exercises.

http://www.pangloss.com/seidel/Shaker/index.html--Everyone should have a good Shakespearean Insulter Site bookmarked...

http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/e-catena/ - Awesome compilation of biblical references by Ante-Nicene Church Fathers

http://phatcatholic.blogspot.com/ - Exhaustive compilation of links to Catholic resources.

http://www.redwingscentral.com/ - Every Wings fan should know about this site. Good prospect information and compiles media from all major outlets covering the Winged Wheel.

Between Reddit and Buzzfeed -- nothing on the www escapes me anymore. And I've also visited the Mane much less since becoming a Redditor (was getting sick of the pro/anti McD circlejerk).

www.google.com

This is a pretty good "search engine". All you do is type a word or a phrase in a field and it will automatically find websites for you that relate to the topic.

That site is awesome. I would imagine the front office hates it.

No mention of KissingSuzyKolber? Really?

Absolute surprise.

Deadspin is an aggregater, but some of the original content there is exceptional.

Jalopnik and Kotaku are two favorites as well.

ColoradoPols.com is an excellent site with good, local politics info. Written mostly by and for policy wonks, but if you want to really know what's going on in the statehouse, it's a must-read.

Otherwise, most of my surfing is work-related. Clerks and Recorders office sites from Routt and Moffat Counties, the Bureau of Land Management, etc.
