Default Jim Thorpe or Jim Brown?

In their prime, which back would you choose to run the ball for your team?

Hi Doug. This a thought provoking question, however there is an unwritten rule that you must have 100 posts to start a thread. Just a friendly welcome to the Orangemane. Good luck in the future.

We actually changed the rule a few months ago to where you have to have 100 posts to post in threads, too.

The stories I've heard about Red Grange surpass the stories I've heard about Jim Thorpe. I take Grange based on the fact that he outran a leopard on the Serengetti, took on a water buffalo beside the Nile, and submitted Odin the Sky God while inventing the triple option, wishbone, and the triple lindy.

Brown is the 2nd best player of all time. Thorpe is 37th.

It's Thorpe, an athlete that doesn't get the credit he deserves in the modern era.

The story of Thorpe and the Oorang Indians is really something worth reading.
