Funny thing is we learned stealth aircraft not that great. If you load up the f-15 with tons of radar in the nosecone it easily can find stealth fighters and kill them. Ground based radar struggles but put a bunch of f-15s in the air and you can spot them. Its just no countries we have used them against have what it takes to come match us in the skies. China may have not needed a stealth aircraft and if it was to thwart USA it was probably a waste of money.

Now it looks like they need to use movies to make it look like it performs.

then why are we mass producing F-22's?

you can shoot an ICBM out of the sky with something less powerful than an ICBM. doesn't mean the ICBM has no use.

and something tells me you're not going to like the result if you send a bunch of jets from the 70's after something newly minted regardless of whether or not they can see them.

The funny thing is, those jets were purchased from Europe and Russia. They aren't evern Chinese (well, not yet, I'm sure the Chinese are gonna take the designs and make them their own).

The Chinese are just like the USSR back during the cold war. They have to either steal the technology for their weapons or buy the technology for their weapons. But, they build a hellava damn...
