She has gone off the freakin' deep end.
I know not all tea partiers are crazy, I'd say 99% are normal people, but when you have the spokesperson as someone who is stupid and crazy (not a good combo) - this is why people look dis favorably on the teaparty thing http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_814033.html |

The GOP could probably put Michelle Bachman on its next presidential ticket and do quite well.
There's a reason why she has such a huge audience and so many supporters. People like Bachman, Beck, Limbaugh, et al, are the true face of today's conservative mainstream. |

Another person who's never been to the Huff post in their lives. Read the list of contributors on the site and their histories. Of course, the last thing I would ever expect out of a rightard (Bachmann included) is a desire to actually know something rather than jerk around to your ideological chain like a frog hooked to a battery.

Just curious. What the hell was the context? I mean why the heck did she bring up slavery in the first place?
Was this a sound bite from a few years ago that he drug up to discount her for giving the response to the President's speech? Was it something recent? You're right, if she believes what she just said, she doesn't know American history, but then again...thanks to No Child Left Behind, we've got a generation of American kids that are being taught Communication and Math, and they aren't taught history, so they won't even know that she was wrong... |

I watched the video and it's fine -- Matthews is splitting hairs over her wording, and taking a narrow definition of "founding fathers," even though she led right into JQA, and made it clear the principles of our founding were carried on in a tireless war against slavery. The Constitution ends the slave trade. That was the ultimate death knell for slavery. Ending the slave trade made it an enclave in the South, and began to morally isolate it.

Just saw The Race to Nowhere last night. No child left behind is the worst thing to happen to American education in the last 30 years. Not because of it's goal but because of it's application. We don't teach kids how to think anymore, just how to memorize and take tests.

Because she was hand picked by the establishment, and let everyone know in her speech. She didn't once thank grassroots support, it was all corporate handouts that she acknowledged.
If anything Rand Paul should have been giving that speech. |

I'm not sure I even know to be honest.....I think it was the belief that the founding fathers are some sort of deity that made no mistakes and everything they did was perfect....ok, I am exaggerating
But I think it was about how the founding fathers set up a perfect country basically and we need to go back to that |

Do you know what would destroy the Taliban. Education! The people cannot read and defer to their village elders who literally make up crap to keep the people content. The thing about this kind of retardation that is so offensive is that it is a reflection of why our soldiers are dying overseas. Our own arrogance and stupidity is killing them. A leader, in my eyes, is a leader as long as they lead. The minute they fail you don't make excuses for them. You keep your honesty and call it fairly. If anybody posted that kind of amazing stupidity here they would be roundly shiat upon but she does this globally and it is defensible? Why? |
