While Henderson and Freeney are good players the big question here to me at least is Peppers v. Ed Reed.
I'd personally have to go with Reed, but Peppers might beat him out if Reed has to hang 'em up soon and Peppers plays like he did this year for Chicago. Up to this season though Peppers has been a very good DE that took plays off. Reed meanwhile was arguably the best defensive back period in the entire league for a good chunk of time and is a game changer when he gets the ball in his hands. |

No question, the best pick has to be Ed Reed. Julius Peppers has been a very good player, but Ed Reed is a first-ballot hall of famer.

The Vols had Henderson/Haynesworth, and Georgia had Seymour/Stroud the previous year. Then the Jags had Henderson/Stroud in the following years. It's like a monopoly on these four.

Did not realize that Javon was picked right behind Ashley. A lot of fail in this draft. One of my favorite past times is to look back at the drafts and redraft the broncos picks to create the best possible outcome. Sad but true.

Just a quick re-ordering, based only on the players taken in the first round...so not taking into account that Brian Westbrook would have been taken in the first round and not the third, if there was an actual do-over...

What a crappy quarterback class. The best of the bunch is David Garrard.
Because I'm a geek, and was curious. Combined 60,561 yards, 319 TDs, 304 INTs, 795 sacks for 5,003 yards lost, 227 fumbles, 90 lost...for 15 players combined. A combined QB rating of 74.8. Without Garrard's numbers...44,558 yards, 230 TDs, 250 INTs, 71.4 rating, 69 lost fumbles. |
