Default Jared Loughner Was a Gamer, and a Forum Poster

I only post this here because I think that we all can learn from this. Loughner could very well have been here at orangemane. We see people come through all the time that post wacky stuff and get ribbed (watermock comes to mind). For a guy like Loughner, getting run through the ringer like what happens to people sometimes at orangemane could be devastating. And believe me, after you read the kind of stuff that this guy posted, you'll be able to see how bad this guy would be run through the ringer here. Its nutzo stuff...some of it almost nauseating.

Maybe we all can be our brothers' keepers a little bit better.

Drama llama not happy with just dumping his sludge in the WRP forum. Not enough recognition there. Go for the main forum!

I think there are people who are just plain nuts (brain chemistry-wise), and they latch on to whatever is there and use that in their psychosis. If it wasn't someone picking on him online, it was the color of the grass, the neighbor's dog telling him to kill someone, etc, etc. Dude is a grade A psychopath.

I see more responsibility in the sheriff's department who apparently had plenty of run-ins with this kid but treated it as no big deal - even though we are hearing rumors that he threatened this very congresswoman back in 2007.

I'm with you, but the natural issue here is hat the crazy people usually start the crap. The sane ones usually deal with it pretty well.

By my estimation, we have quite a few of the crazies around here, and very few of them live in Tulsa, so i'll probably be ok...

Not if they track you down like that guy in the Politics forum did with that cop Steve Tensi.

I agree that the crazy people tend to start the crap. Look at the topics that this Loughner kid posted...topics about how girls really want to be raped, etc. That stuff would turn into an "epic thread" here. People would line up to watch the kid get pummelled. Not that he wouldnt deserve getting told that he was wrong, but people in this place can be vicious.
