These aren't real candidates at this point though. They are just suggestions from a columnest. If Elway already said that we are moving ahead and finding a coach before Mularky is done with the season, what makes you think we are ever going to wait around for either of these guys?

I like the idea of interviewing Capers. He took an expansion to the playoffs in their second year and knows the 3-4 well. Instrumental in designing Pittsburgh's current defense. He would need a strong OC under him though.

I would love Capers, but like someone said, these are just suggestions.

I could definitely live with Dom Capers! I still believe that the path we need to take is one where the entire staff is knowledgeable and able to contribute. If you have one person on the top that is unwilling to deveiate based on it not being his way then we will continue to struggle. If Dom Capers is willing to come in and work well with an entire staff then I say go for it. No more one man show.

Dom Capers is a fantastic coach. I would really be surprised if Christenson were in the mix after one year as INDY's OC. These are good Coordinator candidates. Capers really could run this defense and make the transition much better. I like that Idea a lot.

How about Jim Zorn as QB coach? or is Elway doing that part time? Zorn made something of (nothing) Campbell.

Zorn already has a QB coach job. You'd have to offer him a OC or assistant coaching position to bring him in. I'm def not interested in that.

Campbell still is nothing. Zorn's only success is his work with hasselbeck before washington.
