Default Tebow on Dan Patrick right now

Says:

- Not too concerned about new coach. Just focusing on what he can control and working hard.
- Says he is improving, has improved footwork, throwing motion and reads.
- Weirdest fan reaction was in Jacksonville - boos and cheers at same time.
- Has signed more than one baby.
- Has talked to Elway who is very supportive and has a great relationship with John. Excited to have him in the office.
- Found out about Urban Meyer stepping down when Urban called him right before the announcement.
- Could not see Urban coaching in the NFL because he says Meyer likes helping mould the highschool kids.
- Advice for Andrew Luck would be to keep doing what he's doing and take every opportunity. Don't listen to praise or criticism.

- When other players talk trash, he'll drop a "god bless," or "Jesus loves you."
-Also talks about upcoming documentary on ESPN.

Pretty crappy interview by DP. Soft. No questions about Orton. Not much about thoughts on new coach. Nothing about McDaniels or how he looks at things now that he is gone.

Does anybody else ever worry that Tebow could wake up one morning and decide to ditch football and start doing missionary work?

Wow. You speak for everybody. What a responsibility.

BTW, it was not intended as a disparaging remark. Tebow is obviously as passionate about his religious views as he is about football. I wonder if he ever feels conflicted about it? Some people are drawn to what they regard as a "calling" and decide that has priority in their lives.

Some people sure are touchy about this guy.

All things I was hoping he'd address. Not that you'll ever get a juicy sound bite out of Tebow, though.

Yeah, he wouldn't even answer who he thought would be a better pro QB, Luck or Cam Newton. And when DP asked what his feelings were on a new QB, he just answered he can't control that and he'll just keep working hard.

Actually Rohirrim would be thrilled if that happened.

It's a legit question, though. Glen Coffee did this very thing. I think he's the exception, not the rule, and while I don't doubt Tebow will have a personal ministry, I expect he understands this is a great opportunity to build a nest egg to continue what he believes is God's work.

Once again, Tebow isn't the first Christian, pro-life football player who is open about his beliefs and he isn't the last. He's not even the most outspoken on the team.

Totally wrong assumption. I was asking a simple question.

I was wondering where that guy went. It seemed like he had a promising NFL career, and then, nothing...

Believe me, if Tebow becomes an elite QB for the Broncos and allows us to create a dynasty of championships I will be the happiest person around. At this point, I'm sceptical.

I think it's a pretty fair assumption, given your apparent views on Tebow recently.

Reggie White comes to mind as someone I'd compare Tebow to. Faith wise that is.

I don't worry about Tebow leaving the NFL abruptly to take up ministry. I think at some point he will do that, but in this season of his life it's about football.

And to be honest, he can play football and reach millions of young and old people in a ministry sense...just by the way he carries himself is a testament to his faith and that reaches possibly far more than he would if he just dropped football and did ministry.

If he did I would applaud his choice and wish him the best, but I think he can accomplish more as the QB for the Denver Broncos so I don't see this as a possiblity

Isn't Kurt Warner a very religious person? NFL career went OK for him.

Really? What are my "views" on Tebow?

Anyway, I hadn't thought of Reggie White. That's a good example. He played his whole career and then started his own ministry.

As far as my "views" go, there are some people on this forum, drama llama specifically, who use Tebow to forward their own religious agenda on this forum. That, I find sleazy and will comment on it whenever I see it, as is my right. I don't see Tebow doing anything much more overt than what many other players do. I find some of it annoying, like the "point to the sky" thing, but not that big of a deal.

On the other hand, I am sceptical that Tebow can become an elite NFL QB, which is what I want for the Broncos. That scepticism gets attacked by those who seem to want to worship the guy as some kind of "all or nothing" thing. I don't look at it that way at all.
