Very interesting take on Tebow from the Chuggers!

“He’s a super competitor and his teams find ways to win. He’s obviously only had two starts in this league but he plays with a lot of energy, a lot of emotion, and it means something to him,” Philip Rivers said. “I think any time you’ve got a guy like that at quarterback you’ve got a chance.”
Said Turner: “Any guy that’s had that kind of success, you’ve got to think they have a good chance of taking it to the next level.
“I think people made a big deal about the technique and all those things but production is what you’re looking for and he was obviously very productive in the second half of their game the other day.”

I think this sums it up nicely.
I would enjoy seeing it some more against San Diego!

Rivers saying something nice about a Denver QB?

That'll change if Tebow ever flashes him a crotch-grab.

Yeah, that was nice to read.
Obviously, a lot of people have changed their positions.
They're now referrring to Tebow as a potential NFL franchise QB

I thought I would get to enjoy the "middle time" a little longer. You know, somewhere between "complete joke" and "franchise QB."

Tebow didn't really get his "Colt McCoy, this guy seems okay" era. He's already expected to deliver a win.

It's kind of nerve-wracking, but it's fun.

Rivers is absolutely right. Tebow is a gamer and you have to factor a guy like that, but it is only his 3rd start and he played well against the worst pass defense in the NFL so it is looking better than it is. But, he has confidence coming in.
This year im not worried about Tebow. I will be maybe next year and certainly in year 3 but i dont even care if we win this game or not. Already out of the playoffs there is nothing to gain asside from making a rookie QB look like a rookie.
If we lose we will only gain 1 spot in the draft so thats no big deal. We will gain a spot anyways from whoever wins the NFC West with a losing record....lol

I always want our team to win but if we dont, ......its been that kind of year and we IR'd two more players yesterday in Gates and ILB Cooper.

Chargers have used 73 different players this year which is one away from the NFL record.

Since you threw this out there, Rivers never said anything bad about Cutler after that incident. He actually spoke well of him every time he was asked about it so it's not surprising at all to hear him speak well about Tebow.

Cutler was the one who couldn't get over it.

Well, how long have people been bagging on Rivers' throws and he seems to be a winner year in and year out. Fans here dont want to admit it, but Rivers has matured by the last year of Cutler being here. I think they are happy with Rivers over Manning IMO.

Tebow is different than Orton, obviously. He showed the ability in Oakland and against Houston to get the Broncos offense moving. If the Broncos defense shows up at all, this will not be a walk off win for SD.

Even though back in May when I saw this schedule I thought this would be a deciding game for the division, and not a gimptard slapfight that it actually is.

Did both Rivers and Norv study at the Mike Shanahan NFL School of Talking to the Media?

Rivers - "I think any time you’ve got a guy like that at quarterback you’ve got a chance."

Norv - "Any guy that’s had that kind of success, you’ve got to think they have a good chance of taking it to the next level."

I have a feeling Tebow and Rivers are going to be the only two players on the field actually trying to win.

Rivers is right though. You really dont expect them to say something like " He is a rookie on his 3rd start, we will confuse the crap out of him and make him look bad" do you?

Only T.O. would do that

More players need to go to that NFL school of talking to the media.
