QUICK HITS

* The Denver Broncos are set to play in their 800th game (regular season and playoffs) this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs with their overall record standing at 414-375-10 (.525).

* Denver has won two of its last three meetings with Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium, including last season’s 44-13 win that represented the most points scored by the Broncos against the Chiefs on the road.

* Former Broncos Terrell Davis and Shannon Sharpe are among the 26 semifinalists being considered for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2011.

OFFENSE:

Kyle Orton leads the NFL with 3,370 passing yards and has compiled a career-best 96.0 passer rating through 11 games this season. Brandon Lloyd leads the league in receiving yards (1,122) and is tied for third in the NFL with nine receiving touchdowns—both career bests.

DEFENSE:

Versatile Mario Haggan has started all 11 games for Denver this season (six at inside linebacker and five at outside linebacker), while ranking first on the team in sacks (4-32) and forced fumbles (2) and second on the club with a career-high 64 tackles (53 solo).

SPECIAL TEAMS:

Eddie Royal, who is one of two players (Darren Sproles, S.D.) in the league with at least 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 2,000 return yards since 2008 (2,040 scrimmage, 2,035 return), needs just 56 combined yards against Kansas City to become the fifth player in franchise history to post at least 1,000 combined yards in each of his first three NFL seasons.

"The second game of a division rivalry or division series is usually much different from the first one in terms of the way that it is played, We talked to our team this morning about expecting some things to be different from the first game, and we need to anticipate and be able to adjust on Sunday. Any time you play a team this close together, you know it is not going to be just the same thing in terms of structure and scheme."- Josh McDaniels

"It's kind of a chess match throughout the week. What are they going to do to adjust? Are we going to do all of the same things that were successful against them? What are we going to take out of our initial game plan from a couple of weeks ago? I think it's a little chess game throughout the week, but you get into the first couple of series and understand how they're going to attack you and you go from there"- Kyle Orton

"Every kid who grew up in Kansas City playing sports knows it is a big deal to be either be playing for the Chiefs or playing against the Chiefs in Arrowhead, and I am no different. I am pretty excited to go back and play."–Brandon Lloyd

"I think both teams will be angry. They don't want to have the same result as they had last time versus us and we're coming off a loss, which we thought that we were in the game and just didn't finish. It'll be a great test in Arrowhead on Sunday."-Mario Haggan

"It's getting close to playoff time, so a lot of places are going to be rowdy, and this is a conference game, so the fans will be even more fired up, it should be fun"-Kevin Vickerson

I'm going to miss this game. Going to be at the new Giants stadium watching them play Shanny and Skins. Pretty torn on it too. Would like to root for Shanhan, but my wife is a huge Giants fan, so it's better for my sex life if NY wins.

I dislike McD for a multitude of reasons, but results like this would rapidly change my mind. It was awesome on the level of trading Arrington for Mays.

I wonder if the NFL would have a problem if we issued Tazers to the defense. That would stop the opponents running game.

The way we've been tackling? Unfortunately, I doubt it.
