I remember that game and that year. that was the down year between our Super Bowls, and boy was it a down year. I think we finished the year 8-8, but long time D-Coordinator Joe Collier was fired after that year and for some strange reason we experienced a lot of blow out games that year. We got beat down really bad in some of those losses. Tony Dorsett being on the team didn't help any, he was done by then.

Also that year was the big Monday nighter where we got up big on Shanny and the Raiders and they came back and beat us.

Remember it well. I was very young and I had never seen another team score 50+ points... and I definitely remember Tony Dorsett. Bad loss for sure.

Yeah, that was definitely the high water mark of the Dickerson era in Indianapolis.

Also the year of the "pinball" intro on MNF.

I remember it well. I was down 16 points to my opponent in fantasy football and Steve Sewell put me over the top!

I think this was the game they handed out Dierdorf face on a stick 'costumes' to every one.

Frightening.

That game sucked. I stayed home from trick or treating to watch the game. Big mistake. I'm pretty sure the game and missing out on all that candy made me cry.
