So, there are a lot of speculation floating back and forth where things are going. The reality of it is that winning - even when it's a extreme far shot to get to the postseason - cures all ills (unless your name is Schottenheimer).
Let's be real and honest. Both Bowlen and Ellis where given the choice to comment on the record this weekend - typically done to measure the support for a coach. Neither of them opted too. If we lose next week, and josh doesn't make some major change, then the major change might be him out on the street. McDaniels has (wisely for him) gotten rid of any competition for the job inside of the lockerroom, so chances are slim that he will be on his way out, but I could easily see the OC responsibilities stripped. I could also see Xanders given the boot, or Parcell brought in ala Miami to evaluate things. 1st and 10: Don't let Tebow on the field. Really. Don't do it. Don't think about doing it. Tebow has such freak abilities that you want to use wherever you can. His play where he outran the linebackers and safeties to the end zone a few weeks ago was great. But in the games that Tebow has been in, Orton has shown a huge regression on the field. No trick plays, no gimmicks. If Tebow is in there, it's because he is the quarterback. No one is going to bite on him running the ball. If Orton is in there, no one in their right mind believes that he will catch a ball from Tebow. Getting Orton out of the tailspin he has been in the last two games - 41.5% average completion and 6 YPA has to be the first order of the day. 2nd and 7: Don't switch between 4-3 and 3-4. This team no longer has the players to effectively play a 3-4 scheme. Denver could crowd the line of scrimmage with additional linebackers, but without Dawkins, the safeties need all the help from the linebackers that they can get. 3rd and 3: Get some short yardage. Use Eddie as a screen and short slot threat. Bring in Decker if Eddie alone isn't getting it done. 4th and 1: Run Game There have been signs of improvement here the last few weeks. Continue it. Script the first 10 plays, and force your offense to know thoose plays like the back of their hands. Other ideas: Simplify the look the for D.T. He has the most sheer ability of the three big receivers. Just because Orton can juggle two different schemes in his head, doesn't mean DT or Decker can. Go simple. Finally, let your o-coordinator call plays. Josh should have been screaming at the o-coordinator last week, instead of sitting there, all by his lonesome. Another one - On third and 5, don't go for 30 yards.

The key to beating the 49ers is pretty simple. Let them beat themselves with stupid mistakes, penalties, and the likes. If we can make fewer mistakes, fewer turnovers, and just play adequate football, Denver can leave London with a win.

We lose this week and I'm going to buy the team.
Pat and have been going some fishing and he want's to retire in Baja so I offered to buy the team. How do you guys feel about baja as your owner? My first move will be to extend Josh while I can get him cheap. |

As for your thread title, you seem to have only posted the 1st half.
What are these ramifications? |

I smell another blowout. Broncos have quit. Even with Carr it won't matter. When any pro QB gets 7 seconds to throw ball he will do well. Plus there is a good chance broncos have quit on Mcdaniels and won't play for him anymore.
Gore may run for 200 yrds. |

![]() How you gonna feel if the Broncos come out and play hard smart football and smoke the 9ers Did they quit or were the young second stringers shell shocked? This is the question that could well be answered next Sunday. Last edited by baja; 10-26-2010 at 04:00 PM.. |

All we have to do is stop their run game, unfortunately, I don't see us doing that.

I think that even if we lose next week we could still win the division unless we have to use mathical math type stuff that require math in which case we are then screwed at 2-6.
