Because they're still gonna get paid. If you knew you were going to get a $250K check just for wiping your ass in front of 75000 people, you'd be smiling too.

I saw that too, I sittin at home embraced to even show my face. The phone has been ringing with laughter from all my friends. Then I see them laughing and joking on the side lines like it's no big deal. This on one of the worst losses in the history of the broncos.

We could not even score against there second string !!!!!

I think this is a big problem and it shows the lack of true Broncos spirit.

Exactly. They're going back to their great lives either way. You think they care as much as we do?
The only guys that looked really pissed were Orton and Bailey.

Dawkins did too. I have stood up for Josh but this is the sign of a bad Coach.

If your players don't show respect for a loss like that you have done something wrong as a coach.

If I were Josh, they would have been running laps in front of the crowd and would not have stopped until ever fan left the stadium.

Josh's ego is the biggest loser. I'm starting to either realize or accept that he is probably going to be a failure as a head coach.

I'm very curious why people ask this question through every single sport after a tragic or dramatic loss... there has not been 1 single game in football OUTSIDE OF A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, where I've witnessed a WHOLE team depressed. People have different ways of coping.

This was supposed to be a team that replaced players with losing me first mentalities with tough smart winners. Winners don't laugh or smile when they get beat 59-14. It's called pride.
You obviously have never payed or you would know this.

One could argue that the NFL is not a true competitive sport. It's a business. Not at all the same as playing Pop Warner, HS, or college football for a lot of these guys.

They were dead coming out of the tunnel; only guy that looked remotely fired-up was DJ Williams. Even after the turn-overs there was no spark, no nothing, they were just walking around like this was a scrimmage. Pathetic.

Yea, it was hard to watch... and hard to understand.

I don't blame people for pointing back to the coach, though. The finger has to point somewhere. (Even though to me, the players have to do their jobs, first and foremost.)

Seems like they were looking past the Raiders. **** effort all around. Wonder how the next Bronco GM will spin the numbers when he says X number of players are out of the NFL in a few years time.

Good question. I was wondering that at the end of this game when I saw Lloyd yucking it up on the sidelines. I suppose the players just don't give a **** anymore. Their checks aren't going to bounce. Why should they care?

Well as business professionals they still shouldn't be smiling and laughing that they didn't earn their money. It shows the same issue and it is disturbing.
Winning or being professional and actually earning your money show the same sense of pride.

Well, I see that Lloyd is being singled out here. He's basically making the league minimum, so one could argue that he earned his money today just by showing up.
