These bazaar starts happen on occasion.
How we respond will be very very telling. |

It's been an epic fail thus far. Not sure what else I can say. We simply didn't come out ready to play today. Looks like a totally different team than last week.

Well, Popps, I'm not happy. I'm afraid I'm not able to share your sense of optimism right now. But I hope like hell that you will be able to post an I'm proud of the way this team fought back and gutted out a win thread.

Offense isn't sharp, but the two turnovers in two plays was kind of a fluke IMO. The defense getting ripped apart is what gives me no confidence in our comeback chances.

This is hard to figure. Weird, fluke starts can happen. But, the air sure seems out of us already. I'm not one to give up, but this might be the worst start I've ever seen as a fan. Not drama, just the truth. |

McD should call a time out and tell everyone to huddle up and take several deep breaths and get their heads back into this game It's not too late....

Mcdaniels has made a tougher smarter team. We are still in the hunt because the tough part of the schedule is over.

We've had some poor defenses as of late but this is unbelievable.

Let's see if this team can respond, or if we're going to continue to lay down. |

The defense is on its heels. I would like to see a little emotion from someone including Orton.

Lot of folks thought oakland would be tough this year.
Why do they always have their wake up game against us? This has happened about 3 different seasons that I remember. |

I think everyone is in shock. This game had me worried coming in. I just think we let our guards down against marginal teams and play stronger against better teams. Not sure why, but that's the case. Oakland has talent, they just haven't executed this year. I said this week that we had to get off to a fast start so we wouldn't get them in spoiler mode. We did just the opposite. |

The defense just has no playmakers other than Bailey, and teams aren't going to go his way often anyway. This has been a problem for many years. Whlo is getting the big sack, make the big tackle for a loss, or cause the big turnover when they need it? There only 2 guys who can do any of that at all are well past 30, Champ and Dawkins. It's been many years since I felt the Bronco defense could clamp down on pretty much any offense.
