VP John Elway
Default McDaniels on 87.7 The Ticket 10-1 AM

* Just had baby girl, trying to help as much as he can with the kid while getting ready for the game.

* Titans are physical team that has wrinkles with Vince Young. Vince has very good W-L record as starting QB, and even though you want to force them to pass more than run. They do run the option, so Tebow has been doing a good job of running that on scout team.

* Nothing more devastating than driving the whole field and not punching it in on the goal line. Tried spreading the field with multiple WR and stuffing it in like they did with Buck against Seattle. Also tried splitting about Demaryius and throwing a fade, and obviously tried going off tackle. Need to improve physically in the red area to win games.

* Opportunity the entire starting OL will be together Sunday. Harris has had two good practices, not sure if he’ll be able to play every snap but he should be out there.

* Johnson is as fast as any player he’s ever coached against, can’t let him going.

Did he say anything about the big Orton-for-Lynch trade?

That "as much as he can" better be "almost not at all"!!! He can help with the baby in January.

No, I think he's preoccupied with moving Tebow what with Orton playing so well and all...

pardon my ignorance, but when did this "red area" thing replace "red zone"? Did the NFL copyright "red zone" and now no one can say it?

Heard him on the Fan last night.

His girl was born tuesday.

Touched on Hillis. He said he was a guy who will be productive with 22-25 carries, but he wouldn't see that much here. Mainly cause Knowshon (at least that's what Al gleaned from McDs comments). They further speculated that Hillis was a guy who was great in the game and bad in practice.

Harris is healthy, run game should get working again. Goal-line failures are unacceptable, etc.

They were a balanced team but it's hard to stay balanced when you're down 13-0 after the half. Also hard to stay balanced when ypc is low.

Beadles will be a 3rd guard or 3rd tackle. He can play either position. Looking like Harris, Kuper, Walton, Daniels, Clady.

Its just McDaniels speak. Kinda like how "special teams" is called the "kicking game" now.

It was reported that Josh is deciding between three names for his little girl; Hillis McDaniels, Jai McDaniels or Toni McDaniels.

Congrats to the McDaniels family!

Odd of him to say that for a few reasons.

1. It was 13-3 at the half.
2. After we scored a TD on the opening drive of the 3rd quarter to make it 13-10, and before Indy scored the TD halfway through the 4th to make it a two score game again, there was a 20 min or so stretch of the game where it was a one score game. What did he call for?

17 pass plays
3 runs

Personally, I didn't have a problem with it cause the run game sucked. But let's not pretend we were balanced before the score got out of hand.

The thing I don't get is why give LOMO all those carries at the goal line when are passing game was hot. I think if we would have thrown it 4 time on 4th and 1 we could have gotten a TD.

Our run game sucks right now, I don't like it but it's a fact. On the other hand our passing game is on the money so I can see why it was 17 passes to 3 runs. That just goes back to the problem of why try to run it in 4 times when you know that is not going to work?

The same Daniels that got blown up by Seattle's DT and pancaked 5 yards behind the LOS virtually making one of Moreno's carries a loss of 3-5 yards?

As lostknight likes to point out in every post he has made since that game, we only ran the ball 1 time in the red zone after that series.

Much more difficult to pass the ball along the goalline. Defenses don't have to worry about receivers getting behind them or stretching the field.

Truth of the matter is, the Broncos need to stick with the power run game inside the 5 on those types of situations. Until that gets figured out we will be limited in terms of predictability on short yardage. They tried the reverse strategy by putting 3 or 4 receivers on thee field to spread out the defense and even then we couldn't run the ball. They need to activate Chris Clark for a game and run behind him. Dude is a mauler!

It's great Hillis was good in games and bad in practice! We're undefeated in practice!!!! Well except Knowshow, he's a fail in practice also.
