I don't give out candy! I would but for the 2-5 kids that showup...it's not worth it. Most of the time I don't get anyone at all...I think it's because our garages in our townhouses face the street and the townhouses are behind them...that no one bothers to come back here. So, heck with it. I'll just go to the gym tonight...usually by the time I get back no one is around. Besides, I work with kids...we'll do the halloween party or what we do is a PJ Party at work today.

The kids have a party or something going on at church tonight (they're all too big for trick-or-treating) and we don't have any little kids in the neighborhood. We'll buy some candy just in case, but I doubt that anyone will come to our door...perhaps partly because of our scary big dog....

The first few years at my house I spent $50-$75 on candy and always ran out the first hour!! Then, I noticed the stream of cars that dropped off kids at the start of my neighborhood and realized that people didn't trick or treat in their own neighborhood, they did it in MINE!! So, this year, I'm going out for cocktails with the girls!! Sorry kiddos...I'm being a bahhh hummmm bugggg!!!

We're having a "chili cook off" today at work and everyone is doing your traditional "chili" with pinto beans etc. However, I made chili verde to throw a loop in there and singe the tastebuds off all of these montuckyans!

I was planning on playing pool league tonight, as I do every Wednesday. However, the other team called the captain last Friday wanting to reschedule. Therefore, I'll have to figure out another reason to disappear for the night...

The end of Halloween only means that it's time to turn the focus to Christmas...

we left the bucket o'candy out on the porch (had dinner and drinks out on the town) and surprisingly enough, there was over half left. What we're seeing is like what STG said, the kids are all getting rides into the more prominent housing districts to get the most bang for the buck.

I'm ready for Christmas, though! The day after Thanksgiving I'll be putting up the Griswold lights!!

I just got a new job, too!

Hey...I'm with you STG...I love Christmas! Although, this year since I am going to the Houston game....come back for 3 days and fly to Washington, I'm probably not going to drag all that out...it's a lot of work and I won't get to see much of it!
