"Have You Forgotten" is the song/video in the link.
I'm posting it as my tribute to those who died/helped in 9-11.

An awful day, and I'll never forget how empty and wrong everything felt.

RIP, and much love to those who keep us safe.

I was thinking about Easy Ed today how he was in the hospital with a broken leg that day when New York was Attacked . I did not realize the first game is always the same day...

Yep...I remembered that as well...and it was against the Giants and the first Broncos loss that season I believe...I remember Ed saying in an interview...how he wokeup and it didn't matter...not his leg, not the game...he couldn't believe it. Or something to that affect.

I was at that game on 9/10. I went to bed thinking the world had ended because Ed broke his leg.

I woke up on 9/11 thinking that the world had ended because Ed broke his leg. My satellite was out and we don't normally listen to radio in the morning.

I got into my car to drive to work thinking the world had ended because Ed broke his leg.

I turned on my radio.

I forgot all about Ed's leg.

I have some mixed feelings about some of the 9/11 films and documentaries that have come out in the last decade. One that really impressed me, though, is "102 Minutes That Changed America" from the History Channel.

It's a virtually real time document from multiple amateur cameras around the city that day. No interviews, no commentary from five years in the future looking back. Just raw footage that puts you right in the middle of the tragedy unfolding. A horrific and amazing piece of work that, for me, stands as the most notable project made about that day.

I remember I went to bed feeling awful because Ed had broke his leg, and woke up to even worse news...

You know whats odd? I cannot remember any other MNF game involving Denver with that much detail. 9-10-01is burned in my memory, simply because on 9-11-01, I turned on ESPN to see one of the towers on fire, only to have the second tower struck.

National Geographic has been showing Inside 9/11 the last week. I watched it one night and just felt a crippling sadness. I wish I could say the program is good...but the material is just too much.

Well, Sept. 11th happens to be my Birthday.
I know exactly where I was that day. It totally bummed me out such a tragedy by those cowards forever changed the way I celebrate my b-day.

I remember getting up in the morning looking forward to my b-day since I was unemployed at the time (laid-off) and things weren't going right.
I turned the TV on while I'm getting my clothes on and ready to head out, when my jaw just dropped in disbelief.
Needless to say, I stayed home watching the whole thing.
Very sad event...
