Maybe he wanted to cover a real NFL franchise? That or join the Black Panter Party and fight the man keeping him down.

He's such a slob. I loved when he wasn't allowed into a club due to dress code and he tried to complain that he was wearing "dress shorts" and expensive sandals.

Reminds me of Bukowski quote (who otherwise is a complete hack): ''Show me a man who lives alone and has a perpetually clean kitchen, and 8 times out of 9 I'll show you a man with detestable spiritual qualities. Show me a man who has a perpetually dirty kitchen, and 5 times out of 9 I'll show you an exceptional man.''

He's a hell of a writer when he is at his best. Not to mention, he is one of the few major journalists outside of Denver that places John Elway as the greatest QB of all time.

I heard the KC Star have contacted Mock to replace him. . . though Mock has refused to relocate to Kansas City and suggested the Chiefs move to Iowa because there were more natives there anyways.

Russ and Troy politely bickered with the Shark Bar security and manager for about 10 minutes. They were told my shorts were "sagging" below my knees. Troy explained that he made the shorts to hang below the knees and the shorts were no longer than the Old Navy shorts worn by the club's bouncer. Then they were told that my shirt being untucked was a problem and that it was against club policy for my 23-inch white gold chain to hang outside my shirt. Eventually the manager relented and allowed us to go in if I would tuck my necklace inside my shirt. Once inside, we discovered all three of us were inappropriately dressed. We looked far too professional and classy. Seriously. That is not arrogance. The young, mostly white people inside the club dressed the way we did when we were young and financially strapped. He went all that way to dress like that and why not just put on a nice pair of slacks insted of a pair of shorts? what a clown. |

The idea that the club didn't let him in with what he was wearing compared to what they normally do let in was ridiculous. Their dress code wasn't enforced logically and uniformally. The whole district changed their dress code because they were doing it in a retarded and nonsensical manner. This column helped move along that change that a lot of people were pushing for in the first place. Not to drop dress standards but make them fair for all people. |

Just another example of The Man keeping the obese brothers down.
Surprised Whitlock settled for newsprint and not pitchforks to settle this outrage. |

Jason Whitlock Gets Big Contract At FOX
I started this blogging thing a couple years ago with very little money for a long time. After hearing what Jason Whitlock is getting paid at FOX, I think I'll continue in the world of sports writing. I've learned that Whitlock's deal with FOX will pay him $2.1 million over three years. That $700,000 per year average is a big jump from his rumored salary of $150,000-$200,000 at the Kansas City Star. In the world of sports writers, Whitlock is a big free agent signing and FOX was smart to lock him up. Other media outlets inquired about his availability this week but his deal with FOX already far along. Whitlock will be filing columns for FOXSports.com more often and will likely expand, in some fashion, to FOX's focus on online video content. There's also a possibility for radio. Whitlock is rumored to have already picked out a place to live in Los Angeles though it's unclear if that move will be permanent. Kansas City, for better or worse, won't be the same without Whitlock. http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2010/8...s-big-contract |
