Default Tebow highlights

A really good run down of his good plays (and the 1 sack.) I didn't see the game, so he looks pretty good from just watching this. Of course it doesn't show any of the mistakes I'm sure he made last night.

Still, his arm strength and accuracy seem solid, and the game didn't see too big for him at all.

For some reason, it won't let me copy and paste directly to the highlights, it takes you to the game highlights instead. So follow this link and then just click on the Tebow stuff below...

I see they didnt correct the "fumble" in that highlight either. ESPiN did the same thing. Its the first time I have ever seen them show a fumble that was overturned (because it wasnt a fumble) without explaining that it wasnt a fumble.

I wonder why.

I hardly think we can start accusing ESPN on an anti-Tebow bias.

You can certainly accuse the editor of the article and of the highlight reel of bias. They chose to omit facts and to falsely report events to spin the truth.

I read the ESPiN recap of the game, which they had titled (paraphrased) "Tebow (Debuts) with a Fumble, TD"

I wrote them an email saying that they had the facts wrong in their title, and then they changed it without aknowledging their "mistake" publicly.

Tebow is so controversial that people will try to change people's perception of him. They wanted people to look at that recap and think "Ah, Tebow didnt play that well...he had as many fumbles as TD's!" When the unbiased way to present that information is to infer that Tebow had a decent game, which he clearly did.

They're going to cover Tebow because so many people are interested in the guy, but that doesnt mean that theyre going to be fair or unbiased when reporting about him. Sports journalists are generally so unprofessional that they dont have a second thought about including their biases in their productions. Some may simply be annoyed that he is so popular. Some may be annoyed at his religious views.

The scrambling play that ended with 3 seconds left was really impressive to me.

1. Decent pocket presence but better elusiveness

2. Good form for a throw on the move under duress

3. It got there and where it needed to be. When the QB is scrambling, you come back to him a little bit. Had Branson done that, it's an easy TD.

He needs to roll to his left so he has more field to work with. I'm not saying that it was possible on that play, but of all of his scrambles the only one that went left was the designed bootleg.

Agreed. Here's the simple truth: Had Colt McCoy, Clausen, or Bradford had the SAME EXACT game, i bet the focus would be on how well they improvised while throwing across their body (on the 30 yard strike at the end of the game) and how strong and accurate their passes were.

I also hope that the few of you that said Tim Tebow does not have NFL arm strength will reconsider after watching him for a little over a quarter of football.

If they had the EXACT same game, I bet the focus would be on how they're out for the season because they got obliterated at the goal line on the last play of the game
