how big of a signing is this for us? He is very versatility player for the ravens and could really help solidify this D-line.

In this video he drops back as he is a LB, could use him in many ways

We lived together on the same floor in the dorms. Him and Victor Rogers. He once electrocuted a hamster with his roommate.

Totally true story, the guy was crazy. After a loss in college, his freshman year when he barely played, he ripped off the door to his room, this was a solid wood door, one of the most amazing things I ever saw.

I loved this signing because the guy is nuts. Good times in Williams Village Darley North Dorms!

Expendable depth player for the Ravens = instant starter for the Broncos. It wouldn't be that big of a signing if we had anythng to show for the last decade's worth of draft picks and free agent aquisitions.

True, but it's not like this is Engleberger mark 2. He's the primary backup for 2, and maybe 3 spots on defense. A great player to have.

He's the 2nd one. Seems like the type of guy you want on your football team.

I understand the sentiment, but at one time we thought players like Trevor Pryce were expendable (for the money). It doesn't mean he can't help our team or have a significant impact on our defense.

It's not like our d-line from last year was horrible - we just had no depth and then everyone got too worn out (including Andra Davis trying to plug the leaks). What we needed was quality depth and better rotation to help the team in the second half of the season.

The thought that Ronald Fields (who started the season really well) is now a backup/rotational player is really encouraging. McBean played well to start the season then injured his knee. He may well have been playing through that injury for the remainder of the year.

I think we greatly increased our depth on the d-line this year, the part of the defense that concerns me most is the OLB's (since we don't know about Elvis, and Ayers as a starter is a question mark).

It would help tremendously to have the offense stay on the field, to spell the defense............I think our D just was toast by December from all of the three and outs by the offense..............

the thing I love about him other than his talent is, he is coming directly from one of the best defenses in the league and even their 2nd tier players can start in most places

he's been groomed well and is a smart and tough player, I don't see what's not to love

Meh...I'd say that is a misconception. Denver's TOP last season was right in the middle of the pack at hair over 30 minutes. Denver's defense was not on the field much more or less than any other team in the league.

Not as disturbed as I was. If I remember right it was more his roommates doing than his.

Hamsters aside, I can't wait to see our starting D-line suit up. What a huge boost this is going to be if these guys work out.

Williams could literally help turn us into a top 5 defense if he's healthy.

absolutely agree Popps

just ask RayRay how much Ngata means to him in the middle, a big fatty taking up space and occupying blockers with some play-making linebackers is exactly what we want

I like the signing but the video you posted doesn't really show him doing much at all. That play was all Lewis and Chris. Couldn't you find a better one?
