mile high nationals - The Orange Mane

Any one going this weekend to the Mile High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway?

There is nothing like the sounds and smells of top fuel drag racing. My son and I will be at saturday's qualifying.

i have never been to sunday finals. one of these days I will.

I've got a bunch of Family coming out for the Weekend, so I can't go-I hope someone stomps the Al-Anabi Cars though!

Today was almost perfect. No oil leaks, no wrecks, no delays, weather was great, there were some great races, For the 7th straight year I yelled "Go get em Connie!" To Connie Kalitta and for the 7th straight year he ignored me, but my man Doug Kalitta won, loudmouth dixie chick Force lost in the final (though it was to his teammate, so...) Warren Johnson got knocked out first round, that sucked, but its cool. Schumacher also got knocked out 2nd round.

But a damn good day. Dont think Ive enjoyed a Mile High Nationals this much since Eddie Hill won his last race in 1996.
