Default Marshall’s wedding reunites past and present Broncos

‘Tis the summer of lavish athlete weddings.

Former Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall is following the trend set last weekend by Nugget Carmelo Anthony by throwing a star-studded wedding. Marshall’s nuptials to Michi Nogami will be held Saturday in South Beach, the couple’s new home base.

Sure, the couple legally wed months ago in a courthouse ceremony in Jefferson County, just a couple of weeks before the Broncos traded Marshall to the Dolphins. But knowing Marshall, there was bound to be a big party eventually. And knowing Marshall, Saturday’s ceremony and reception is bound to be epic.

On the guest list are a bevy of current and former Broncos, including Jay Cutler and Tony Scheffler, Elvis Dumervil and DJ Williams, Eddie Royal and Ryan Clady among others.

His agent, Kennard McGuire (who helped orchestrate the trade to Miami and Marshall’s subsequent monster contract) and lawyer Harvey Steinberg, will also be there. Jacksonville wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker, Marshall’s former roommate and teammate at the University of Central Florida, is supposedly the best man.

And no, Josh McDaniels did not get an invitation.

I wonder if anyone bought the boxing gloves Brandon wanted that were on the registry list from the sporting goods store.

Instead of rose petals the flower girls tossed McDonald's wrappers down the aisle.

Miami's on an upswing.

First they pull off the King trifecta, Parcells comes, then Nolan, Henne has looked capable and frankly, expect both the Heat and Fins to go deep.

Frankly, both Cutler AND Marshall got what they wanted in both money and location.

That said, BM is on his own now, and South Beach isn't exactly the right place, but neither was Denver after DW's murder.

Yeah Jay never wanted money but he did get what he wanted a new home and a fresh start to suck ass in a new city!

Brandon won't be as bad horrid and embarrassing as Jay, in fact he will be all that the fans want on the field. But man if I were a Miami fan I would have a feeling of angst that something bad is just around the corner. Because it is.

I am more concerned about the afterparty
Then again, with this team's history of such incidents I would hope everyone has their head on straight
Congratulations to B-Marsh though (nope, no spousal abuse jokes forthcoming)

How smart of Josh to feature Marshall last season in order to maximize his trade value.

Getting 2 2nds for him was a great deal for a player that did not really fit what McD wants to do with the offense.

Whoever was at that wedding McDaniels must trade immediatly for draft picks to use on "talent" like Richard Quinn and Craphonso Smith. We will not tolerate that non-Patriot behavior.

Patriots? Isn't that the team that is considered a preninal winner? A Dynasty? Ya we should never do what they do, we should do it the Shanahan way we want more .500 seasons right?
