well at this point it is safe to say we are not in a pickle jar when it comes to this Issue . We got money lock up a guy that is worth it simple as that .

If it's that simple why has one of the best GMs in the game not locked up Payton Manning?

Try again. Until the CBA issue is resolved, no one is going to get those types of long-term deals. You don't know if the cap is coming back, if % of revenue that must be used for player salaries is going to go back down, etc. Until those issues have been cleared up, teams aren't going to give players deals that might be too high based on the new revenue distribution and because they have no idea how to structure them.
