This is the first year I won't have to have Sunday Ticket! I'm pumped to now live in Denver.

That was me last season, DB. Job took me to Colorado the last week of Sept through the first week of March. Was awesome being back home with local Bronco coverage being one of the best bennies! Not only getting the games with one of the best local on air broadcast crews, but all of the extra Broncos related programming on tv. Was in heaven! As for the DTV mobile deals, I'll be signing up for it as soon as it becomes available. Outside of the 4 special time slot games, we don't get too many of the AFC West games here in Atlanta. 2 bills is worth it to me to get all of the games. Glad they are doing this as I was po'd when they dropped the PS3 service last year.

called in today to cancel...I got $48 in loyalty credits on Sunday Ticket itself..then they transferred me to the billing after I said that wasn't enough and to cancel..the billing dept gave me 20 bucks off my bill for 12 months for agreeing to one year of service..

not to shabby lol...

Boo-ya...just got off the phone, said I want to stop my auto renew for the Ticket, because I wasn't sure if I wanted it this year, he asked me why and I said I only needed it for two games last year and the price isn't worth it to me...I told him that if DTV doesn't keep the Ticket pass this year i am leaving anyway...he said I was qualified for a free Geni upgrade, but I would have to agree to a two year contract, told him I was not committing for 2 years not know who would own the package next season. after talking for almost 40 minutes, I got my Geni upgrade for a 1 year contract and NFL ticket for free, didn't offer me the Max though, which is fine, didn't use it last year when I had it.

So I see that it is only available if "you live in a select apartment building where DIRECTV service is not available, attend one of these universities, or live in one of the following metro areas: New York City, Philadelphia, or San Francisco. Check your eligibility. "

Looks to me like it is a trial this year for those areas ONLY.

that sucks.... and as usual is what the NFL is ...late to the party with an expensive package that has too many restrictions.

They REALLY need to start selling a single team package and have NO blackouts for that team.

Since the Broncos were on in 12 of the 16 games here in Portland Last year it
was hard to justify the sunday ticket....and since it only includes Sunday DAY games it is WAY to overpriced.

Of course the Broncos will not be on That much this year with the Seahawks up the road and the AFC WEST teams playing the NFC West. There will be Competition for those afternoon games this year and the NFC West will probably go down to the wire ( and maybe the AFC West also) .

Also Eventually Peyton will retire and the Broncos won't draw as much interest.

Maybe By THEN!

Yup, that is how I watched every non televised game last year. The replay was also clutch when I was in China for business in October.

Yeah I know it's kind of lame but not much I can do. I work in IT so I don't have anything to do with billing/customers.

Just called in, threatened to cancel then made it to the second level customer service. Explained that I only get DirectTv for the Ticket, and it's just getting too expensive.

Boom, free Sunday Ticket Max - $329.00
$10.00 monthly credit for a year - $120.00

Ten minutes on the phone = $449.00

I work weekends so when I watch games it's on my ipad. Last year I had sunday ticket because I bought the madden game. I used NFL gamepass when we were being televised nationally.

I would use nfl gamepass again but they started blocking VPNs which made it fustrating. Found a work around this year, canada gets NFL gamepass with no blackouts. For $129

If I no longer have DirecTV, can I still call in to complain and maybe get something for free? For old times' sake, maybe?

How long have you been a customer, and did you get it free last year?

I've been a customer for nine years. Last year, I got a free genie upgrade, HD credits for a year, DVR credits for a year, and Sunday Ticket Max for the regular ticket price.

Im assuming you werent currently under contract or werent going to be for much longer? I still have a year left on my deal so no leverage. This sassy black lady pretty much laughed at me when I called for a discount. Next year ill be expecting big things like the guy above.

Although, if they offer a stand alone app ( as rumored) for next year, with out needing directv: im gone.

I am in the same boat. I actually got the ticket for free last year without having to call and haggle - not sure what that was about. Not sure if it is worth my time to call this year.

Called in to lower my programming package and was told that there will be a credit for the amount of Sunday ticket on my bill and asked if I wanted it at one time or to spread it out. I asked why and they said that I get a credit for having had sunday ticket my entire time on DTV.
