Default Top 10 Bar Songs

I'm not talking about some night club where everyone is dancing . . . you're out with your buds at sports bar downing some cold ones before the game starts . . . what do you want to hear?

Here are my Top 10 in no particular order . . . keep in mind, I'm over 40!

1. Roadhouse Blues -- The Doors
2. Summer of '69 -- Bryan Adams
3. Boys of Summer -- Don Henley
4. Already Gone -- The Eagles
5. D'yer Mak'er -- Led Zeppelin
6. Dead Flowers -- Rolling Stones
7. Honky Tonk Women -- Rolling Stones
8. Cum On Feel the Noize -- Quiet Riot
9. Living On A Prayer -- Bon Jovi
10. Welcome To The Jungle -- Guns & Roses

Anything AC/DC
JET
GNR is a good choice
Stones - Gimme Shelter, Tumbling Dice, Street fighting man, All down the line, Rocks off, Lots others...

Really anything loud with 3 chords and distortion works.

BTW I love Boy's of Summer, that was a breakup song for me. Building the perfect Beast all of 1985 and 86.

I am 25 and a few of those songs still get played, but if you are at a club, not a chance.

Good list of tunes though

I would fully expect an attempted murder if someone tried to play Bon Jovi at my local bar.

Hey, Moops -- Love you listing "Cum On Feel the Noize," but if you're gonna go there, you should go for Slade's original, from 1973:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfdQx...eature=related

QR actually slowed it down in their cover! I've met dozens of people who didn't know that it was a cover... just a shame, cuz the song was a good 10 years ahead of its time.

Cisqo's Thong Song. Oddly enough, in a town that is 93% white like Florence is, this is frequently played at the sports bar...

God knows why.

Just to name a few I would like to hear when at a bar with some friends.....

Wherever I may roam - Metallica
Bad Company - (remake) Five Finger Death Punch
Cowboys From Hell - Pantera
Awake - Godsmack
Toxicity - System Of A Down
Madhouse - Anthrax
Blough Me Away - Breaking Benjamin
Conflict - Disturbed

That's funny. I can't even give the real name of the song by Breaking Bejamin because obviously you can't say B L O W M E on the forums, too funny.

Also play alot of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Edge of 17 and Landslide usually are the last songs played.

Any bars in Denver that wire in the sound (announcer) from the stadium? That would be fun....I like the noise of the game but not necessarily the commentary from the announcers on TV.

Living in Vegas and watching UNLV Rebels games...this one is fun and is played as much as the fight song:
Viva Las Vegas

Looks like from most of the music threads that hard rock to metal is the favorite music of the board.

Not sure what I would take out . . .

The record label wanted them to record that. They purposely tried to mess the song up on their first take (which made the record). The label loved that version so much, they put it on the record....

hence the changes...

Huh. That part I hadn't heard, cuz I've never paid much attention to Quiet Riot. Funny, tho, how they turned right around and did it again to "Mama Weer All Crazee Now."
