McBean+NFL+weights=(Holy) Trinity
By Mike Klis Forgive the Texas Class 5A rivals of Trinity High School in Euless if they believe the rich just got richer. Trinity has been a football powerhouse, winning three of the past five Class 5A Texas state championships. And now one of their most distinguished alums, Broncos defensive end/tackle Ryan McBean, has just donated enough new equipment to fill a state-of-the-art weight room. It seems Trinity has achieved all this success with a decrepit weight room. McBean just further pumped up the program by making a donation that was matched by the NFL to give the school $26,000 worth of new weight equipment. “They did a great job with the weights they had,” McBean, a 14-game starter last year, said in a statement released by the Broncos. “But I just wanted to bless them with something, just to give back to the school that has given me so much.” “We were just overcome with joy that Ryan would remember us and try to help us,” said Trinity coach Steve Lineweaver. http://blogs.denverpost.com/broncos/...sholy-trinity/ What a class act |

Awesome! Its almost like the old saying goes though, "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
What they are doing works but I am sure having new state of the art equipment over old probably unsafe stuff is always good. |

I heard he bought them several copies of Ghostbusters also, the theory being that it is so blatantly inappropriate it would scare them and increase their adrenaline levels to the point of simulating steroids.
It's genius really. |

Probably got some of these to use during classes.
If it can take the work out of your work day, imagine what it could do in school. |

Their gym was probably a barn and they lifted alot of hay. It worked for them and Rocky, why change a good thing.

I bet some of the money toward a guest appearance from "fitness celebrity" John Basedow.

I swore and actually still swear to this day that Basedows head is Photoshopped on. I know he is in videos but they are using magic there too.

You can't do this in Miami anymore - some of the students started complaining that they'd rather go to a strip club and buy a handgun with the money.
