I'm not a big NBA guy, and i'm not a big MLS (FIFA) guy. But every time I watch a game, I always find myself chuckling at the wussies faking all the injuries.
Sometimes the acting is so bad (grabbing the wrong body part) that it's just too hard to take. I was watching a replay of Portugal vs. Korea this morning and just found myself laughing out loud at all the faces and prat falls. So, a poll on this non-football day. |

this is one of the many things that turn me off to soccer. 1 minute the guy is being carried off on a gurney, the next he is running up and down the field.... Biggest floppers since Vlade Divac.

eh, a lot of the soccer injuries come from being cleated and **** like that. So its horrible pain at the outset, but then subsides. They arent always faking that.

Soccer is being ruined by it, some absolutely pathetic displays in the World Cup.

I have only watched part of 1 soccer game BUT-
Manu Ginblowme. I hate that guy. I am not sure if he even is still on the spurs or mavs or whatever texas team. But that guy is the biggest baby ever. I can't blame him because it is effective, but when you are competing to beat the other team because of skill.....yeah. p***Ys |

Soccer, definitely. They should review and give yellow cards after games if a player faked an injury where there wasn't even contact. Some are so insanely obvious that it really does make a mockery of the sport.

Although a lot of the clips in that sniper video aren't dives at all. It's really easy to get upended when someone is diving at your feet. Even if you don't make contact, you still go down just trying to avoid it. That's not a dive.

I can remember matches against Italy and Argentina when their players would fall to the turf in apparent agony whenever an opposing player was close enough.
The crowd would chant "Oscar, Oscar".......acknowledging the 'acting.' I don't think any sport has as many 'floppers' as soccer....especially the Latin countries in Europe and S. America. |

I always thought it was the NBA, ALL of the NBA, but after watching soccer for these past couple weeks, damn those soccer guys have it nailed, and aren't even good at making it look good, and the refs in soccer are dumber than the ones in the NBA.

Soccer should have a ref watching each game live on closed circuit and looking just for flops.
Additionally, having only one ref on the field for a Word Cup game is reediculous. |

Would watch Ajax- Amsterdam's team a lot at the stadium there and they are carrying these posers off right and left writhing in agony after getting shot like a deer and then you see them yucking it up on the sidelines in 30 seconds with their teamates.
Most of these pansy's would be ground beef playing a half of 'real' football NFL style! :-) |

Getting your foot hit and stumbling is reasonable. Getting a foot hit and acting like you just took a bat to the knees is not. Only once every couple games can you see a player stumble and retain his balance. Most take any opportunity to hit the dirt.

even going down at those speeds is acceptable, but these guys go full ragdoll. Getting hit in the leg does not cause your arms to flail wildly above your head.

I've always considered it part of the game of soccer. I'm not too sure on the intricacies of the rules, but doesn't faking an injury effectively lengthen the game by adding to the "extra time"? If that's the case, then it's more strategy than being wusses.
