How sad, I remember him and his three point shot, nothing made him happier then to hit one.

RIP.

No...he seriously did kill a lion. Its common in his tribe, the Dinka, for a warrior to do this. Bol was a Dinka warrior.

If Michael Jordan would have died, the sports media world would have stood on its head. Michael Jordan is a detestable human being.

Manute Bol was an infinitely better man than Michael Jordan could ever think to be, but all that anyone knows about him is that he's tall. Its a shame that we value jumping more than we value kindness and generosity, which Bol overflowed with.

You guys have probably heard of Sudan, right? Bol was from Sudan. His tribe has been the recipient of genocide attempts and atrocities at the hands of the Muslim tribes from the north that have raided their homeland and visciously killed the indigenous tribes.

Bol spent all of his money on his people. He built schools and hospitals among countless other things to better a dire situation. This guy humiliated himself in this country to make money to invest in his homeland, which is being destroyed.

He's a hero for us all, but especially for the tribes without a voice in Sudan who are constantly being slaughtered.

RIP Manute Bol. Thank God for you and your great life of service.

I was always a fan, seemed like such a cool and fun guy. I know he and Charles Barkley were close, I wonder if Barkley has had any comments?
