U$C has already scheduled a news conference to respond.
I've been waiting a long time for this. It better be brutal. I've read that there was a report by Joe Schaad that suggested it would be severe. Man...I sure hope so. There's been some speculation it could include, but is not limited to a 2 year bowl ban. We'll see.

I guess that will make them even with Miami. Of course, Miami can do it without the ban. ![]() |

![]() I don't think they'll really give U$C two years...probably just one and somewhere between 15-20 scholarships lost.

Breaking news on ESPN just said USC will get 2 years probation. Will be interesting to see what really comes out tomorrow.

Damn that game last year in the Shoe. The early turnover, the touchdown that wasn't, Tressel lacking the balls to go for the TD from the goal line. USC just marched down the field, using 4 downs and McKnight killed us. Of course all you heard after that was how Barkley led the drive. The hype machine was in full force eventhough he did next to nothing. With that being said, I'm stoked about this season.

He didn't deserve the Heisman in the first place. At the Rose Bowl, it was evident to everyone in that stadium (myself included) who the best player on the field was. Sure, he torched garbage Pac-10 squads in the regular season. But disappeared when he played a real defense.

NCAA hands USC two-year bowl game ban, major scholarship reduction in football
The penalties come after a four-year investigation into allegations surrounding Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and former basketball star O.J. Mayo. The Trojans will lose more than 20 scholarships in football. Former USC basketball player O.J. Mayo, left, and former football player Reggie Bush have been at the center of a four-year NCAA investigation that has resulted in a two-year bowl ban for the Trojans and a loss of scholarships. They failed to mention that they will also now be required to play in a conference with OU and Texas.
Makes for a more interesting conference...not so much on the virtually automatic BCS bid every year for the Trojans. |

It couldn't have happened to a better Kiffin...

This could be bigger than Bush and Mayo. One reporter said that the NCAA investigators said that other players broke rules, like Matt Leinart, and that Snoop Dog may have given players extra benefits.
