Default Favorite Movies Where Little Guys Win Against Rich Tyrants

There are movies out there that tell of story of redemption. Small businesses get bought out by corporations, and they turn them into national chains. A local favorites get turned into a hellhole by a billionaire.

After the sale by the rich tyrants, the rules change, fun is taken away, and things just went down the crapper. So, what are the little guys to do? Fight back to keep from being sold to tyrants.

These movies reflect battles and redemption:

Out Cold starring Jason London and Lee Majors (2001). It is a story about a local ski resort in Alaska, where it is all no-holds-barred 24/7, until trouble came. A rich tyrant (Majors) buys that resort, and turns it into somehting for the rich to enjoy. Rules are changed for the employees, and fun is all over. That is when the time is right to battle that corporate monster.

Empire Records starring the three future CBS stars: Jonathan Lapaliga (Without a Trace), Rory Cochrane (CSI Miami) and Robin Tunney (The Mentalist) (1997). All fun, all the time; that is the mantra at a small New Jersey music store called Empire Records. EMployees got to dress in whatever they wanted, but before the corporation bought the store, they set out a unifotm code. These employees fought to keep it from happening, and they won the battle.

What is your favorite movie about winning the war against rich, billionaire tyrants?

About 'Empire records' which the OP talks about having 3 future CBS stars - but neglects that future superstars Liv Tyler and Renee Zellweger were also part of the ensemble cast.

Urban legend or known fact?

Quote:
Snopes considers the rumors on Curtis to be of an undetermined status. Urban Legends also considers the rumor to be unsubstantiated.
