Default An anniversary to remember.

I just got back from Barnes Jewish hospital where I have completed my 1 year post transplant evaluation. I didn't get through the year without difficulty. I did get through it though.

My transplant was performed on May 23rd of 2009. To be honest when 5/23 rolled around this year it was an intensly emotional experience. There were times when I just felt like throwing my hands in the air and just saying "to hell with it". While at other times I was throwing haymakers in a fight for my life. In the end, a person that was never supposed to leave the hospital has survived another year.

I havent forgotten what the good folks here on the mane did for me before my surgery. That time in my life is still regarded as one the most memorable experiences ever. I feel a kinship to you folks that is very unique and special. So, on this most special anniversary I wanted to share it with you and say again, thanks for being who you are, and here's to another year.

Congrats Crazyhorse!

So, what kind of diet did they put you on? I'm curious as I have heart failure on both sides of the family.

if both sides of your family have a history of heart failure, realistically no amount of dieting is going to stop it. same with me, im going to have a heart attack in my 50s at some point. both sides of my family have, and there is no indicator of your health thats bigger than your family history.

to reduce chances, you have have have to cut down on sodium and really high, fatty foods.

Well, you're a Cheffie, but you're also a fan of the Ford Mustang, so you can't be all bad.

I remember when I used to argue with KFC or Faider fans, now it Bronco fans vs Bronco fans and I fell closer to some KFC fans(I feel dirty) now.

Best wishes to you and your family.
