Default OT: Super Mario Galaxy 2

http://wii.ign.com/articles/109/1091239p1.html IGN gave it a 10. I absolutely loved the first one and the NEW! Super Mario Bros Wii was awesome. Supposedly they added both 3d and 2d elements in this game along with Yoshi!, new power-ups for Mario and Yoshi...and Luigi is playable early. I cannot wait, this game will own souls.

Nintendo is so awesome. I played all the Metroids and Zeldas too. They are one of the very, very, very, very few franchises that is able to consistently reinvent themselves without betraying their roots and make awesome games.

The originals are also still some of the greatest games every made, IMO.

Super Mario Wii is the greatest arcade/platform game ever made.

I cant believe it's still around, I remember first playing it years and years ago.

Gotta be one of the greatest games/format ever made.

A ten is pretty impressive. The only other nintendo console game they gave a ten was Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64, which might have been the best game ever. I haven't played a lot of video games lately because I've got a one year old now. Looks like the dog is going to be picking up some baby sitting duty..

Didn't play Galaxy 1 all that much, but completely love SMB Wii. Conquering the game wasn't all that hard but going back to get all the gold star coins was a lot of fun. I think we'll try this one out.

This game is really good. The visuals alone are amazing. Lots and lots of fun. One I could play with my kids and we both enjoy.

If you haven't done coin battle mode with at least two of your good buddies on Super Mario Wii yet, then you haven't even really played the game.

I have both and although SMB was fun and I loved it it is nothing compared to Mario Galaxy. Totally different platform and way better. Galaxy is the first game I have played were I was addicted for 2 weeks straight. I can't wait for this one. When is the release date?

I want to get this, but my three year old probably won't want to go out all Summer if I do.

Agreed. Super Mario Galaxy was an incredible innovation that should be code named, "Brain Crack". I can't remember a game that pulled me in and kept me there wanting for more like that since Zelda's original. Great stuff.
