Default OT - HBO First Look: Robin Hood

I rarely ever watch these First Look things but I was bored and decided to watch it. Whoa, this film looks like it's going to be epic. The link below only shows a small clip compared to what you would see watching the full version on HBO, which goes into alot more detail about the magnitude of what it took to make this film. Looks like it's going to be a good one. Can't wait.

It has been pretty widely reviewed so far and the consensus is that it is rather dull and joyless.

I will probably go see it, but from the stuff I've seen in promo's so far, it looks like the Robin Hood story with the Gladiator/Braveheart treatment. The whole "mythical character standing in front of a rabble of peasants doing an inspiring speech" is kinda played, but we'll see I guess.

The best Robin Hood = Cary Elwes

yes but Princess Bride was better...of course obviously a fairy tale, no man says As you Wish to a woman in real life...

Ridley Scott should do the story of Julius Caesar. Now that would be an epic.

The HBO Series ROME was amazing, at least the first season.
