By all appearances, the Redskins gave running back Brian Westbrook a courtesy visit, aimed at getting his name out in circulation so that someone else will become interested.

If that was the goal, it worked.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Westbrook will now visit the Broncos.

"He had a really positive visit with the Redskins," agent Todd France told Schefter. "We're confident we're going to find the perfect fit."

In this regard, the "perfect fit" will be a team inclined to sign an aging player with a potentially wrecked knee and a concussion problem that could make him unavailable for long stretches of the 2010 season.

or he could just come to a team without a real 3rd down back. but continue trying to convince yourself taht he left washington without a contract because he will become a redskin soon.

i like Westbrook, but I would pass..he has very limited amount left in the tank..I'd rather keep a roster spot for someone who can be with the team for several years

I would love a multi-faceted RB like Moreno learning from one of the best like Westbrook.

Side note, westbrook drops from a 92 RB to a 75 on Madden if he signs with us.

Given the fact Denver didn't get a back in the draft, it does make some sense. He is worth a shot.

This. If we are rebuilding and already have a 1st round RB and a Vet, why bring in someone that is all used up?
