He is looking really bad. I hope he can hold it together for another 15 years or so.

Al's like fine wine for a Bronco's fan. He just gets better with age.

I normally like the ESPN 30 series. Last weeks Run Ricky Run was great and opened my eyes to how mental the dude is/was and could be again. Both the Ali and the Jimmy the Greek films made me sad.
But the Raider film was junk. Al Davis lying about why he moved, backing out of stadium deals, saying he couldn't talk about the reason he treated Marcus Allen like crap... |

The link between the Raiders and hip hop was pretty weak. Sure, there was a link, but it's not a compelling enough story line to support an entire documentary. It's just one of a number of story lines about the Raiders and Los Angeles. I found it more interesting when they were talking about other story lines, like Al Davis and the stadium deals. At the end Ice Cube said something like the Raiders will always belong to LA. I call BS on that one. Most football fans in LA are not Raider fans. The Raiders probably have a bigger backing in LA than any other team has here, but most fans don't care about that team.

Can you point out where he blinked. I watched it again and didn't see him blink... not once. What you said would be far more weird to see though.

I watched it...I was trying to find the connection between hip hop and the Raiders. Basically they made an hour long documentary on rappers wearing Raider gear...whoopteedoo.
Couple things I found interesting, Al will forever be a scumbag and looks like he is about to kick the bucket. I thought the Irwindale thing was crazy, Al stole 10 million from the people of Irwindale. Also it was funny to see the Raiders still despise Shanahan, saying he tried to destroy the Raiders franchise. ![]() |
