I'd like to hear from the "No" crowd to make their cases.

Following the draft, the Chargers signed Ryan Leaf to a four-year contract worth $31.25 million, including a guaranteed $11.25 million signing bonus. It was, at the time, the largest signing bonus ever paid to a rookie.[15] Shortly after being drafted, Leaf declared, "I'm looking forward to a 15 year career, a couple of trips to the Super Bowl, and a parade through downtown San Diego."

Russell held out through training camp and the first weeks of the 2007 NFL season, until September 12, 2007, when he signed a six-year contract worth up to $68 million, with $31.5 million guaranteed

Leaf was such an outright douchebag, no one around him liked him by all reports. The bag of donuts and fartballast knwn as Russell did have some people that seemed to like him. Sorta. And he lasted with the team longer than Leaf. And he had a better taste in bling beccause he was so child-like. (How doid he manage to get into LSU? Affirmative Action seems so inadequate to explain it.)

Besides, I wouldn't let a Faider win a fricking thing, even a contest to be the worst......

I said Leaf but only because he never beat us I don't think

I cannot get over what happened here last season with Jabba...as bad as he is, he organized a game winning drive...here...when it mattered

And Carr while not good was better than Russell by a lot.
Wasnt Russell on pace to break the record for worst qb rating for a season this past year before he got benched?

Couch was bad, but I don't think he counts with the epic busts.

Carr got a bum deal playing behind the worst offensive line ever during his formative years.

And they weren't epic douches, I actually felt bad for them. People like watching Jamarcus and Ryan Leaf fail.

They were both drafted first overall, right? Wasn't Couch couched with resurrecting the Browns? There might have been more cultural pressure on Couch than Russell. I don't know if we should factor that in.

Oh yes. I usta watch the guy on the sidelines after he threw yet another incomprehensible INT or got the ball knocked out his hands for the umteenth time. Wouldn't look at photos of the defense. Wouldn't even look at the OC. He'd pull his greasy sweatband over his eyes & sit there. Just totally didn't give a ****. At least Leaf tried. Jabbarcus considered his career completed the moment he signed his contract. Definitely BBOAT.

Only stadium key Jabbarcus owns is Denver's.

I gotta see if Russell lands with another team first. If he can get a backup job for the next few years he might not make the top of the list.

I voted for Leaf. Jamarcus still have a couple bridges to burn with other teams before he is officially the biggest bust ever.

@VeryFakeAlDavis I feel like I've lost a big fat son. Or at least a morbidly obese nephew.

No. not yet, too early to say that. But here are some interesting stats...

-----------------------------------------------------
Quote:
Russell won only seven of his 25 starts as the Raiders extended an NFL-worst streak to seven straight seasons with at least 11 losses. He completed just 52.1 percent of his passes in his career with 18 touchdowns, 23 interceptions, 15 lost fumbles and a passer rating of 65.2.

That means Russell has been paid more than $5 million per win, more than $2 million per touchdown pass and more than $100,000 per completion
