imo, its funny. I bet Travolta and Jackson laughed their asses all through it. John Singleton's got a career, but if they'd have let Tarantino make the Shaft sequel it wouldn't have been as boring, imo. It might have mocked the blackspoitation genre though. But in a nice way, I'm sure.

The "over the top acting and violence" is intentional. I thought both were great but liked the second one better.

I can't fathom how this is possible unless you're youngish. Easily one of my top 10 movies, and makes just about every "top movies" list put out by critics and entertainment publications I've seen.

Then he just gets so full of himself I want to punch him. Also he cannot act and must stop appearing in films, unless it is just so I can watch him die, like Paris Hilton.
I thought Tarantino was overrated until I saw Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds, both of which I thought were awesome... especially the latter. The man has a way with dialogue. He knows what makes cinema awesome.

Wait for the cream...

That's a bingo!

Tom Cruise wishes he was that cool, but does not measure up. Though I did enjoy The Color of Money that paired them up, The Hustler was better.

Having said that, there are a lot of Paul Newman movies I still need to see..
Slapshot, The Verdict, The Absence of Malice and probably a few others.
check out Slapshot. it's worth it. even if you don't like hockey, like me.

Good gawd I'm a freak. I've got everyone of these movies on my shelf. Then again I lost count around 2,000.

Every guy should at least watch the GODFATHER trilogy.

IMO if you're going to watch one trilogy... this should be it. And I've seen every movie made made apparently...hehe

Weird that I agree with Punisher about something. Then again, in his case... is that a compliment?

Yeah, but I don't have people telling me I should listen to Tito because Janet and Mike had some talent.

Don't watch the Godfather 'trilogy'

Watch I and II. Pretend like III doesn't exist. It was a make-money tack-on anyway. Like that god-awful 'nuclear fallout shelter in a fridge' Indiana Jones reboot.

Ma,

There's one thing I learned from my west Hollywood days. Saddlebag that shopping cart!

You get twice the storage with just a few double-ply trash bags tied to the sides. The key is to carefully distribute the weight...or the damn cart just wont steer straight.

I didn't think part iii sucked. Casting Sophia wa .... a bad move. But it closed the deal. Michael couldn't give up power without doing one more deal, and it cost him his last chance to reconcile with Kate and his son, and got his daughter killed. And remember Kay had had an abortion that ended her pregnancy with what would have been Michael's second son.

It was slow. And the action almost got in the way of watching Pacino destroy his character.
