Default Tebow at mini canp

just a few tidbits

Tebow completes 21 of 21!!
By MIKE KLIS

Not to get carried away about Tim Tebow or anything, but during a pitch-and-catch drill with equipment manager Mike “Hands” Harrington, the rookie quarterback completed 21 of 21 passes during the media viewing portion of the Broncos’ first 2010 minicamp session.

Tebow feigned taking the snap under center, took 3- to 5-step drops and zipped passes from 5 to 15 yards to Harrington. Tebow was utilizing the catcher-release from behind his ear hole, by the way, not the right fielder’s throwing motion he used during the Senior Bowl that generated so much criticism.

As the media was sent off the practice field, Tebow fired a 15-yard hitch pattern to Harrington, who made his first drop of the day. Thus, Tebow was officially 21 of 22. As we all know, nothing is official unless the media sees it.

You just can’t get this stuff anywhere else.

What the hell was B. McD saying to Tebow after every single pass he threw?

I don't think there's any volume on this vid, anyway, I can't here anything. But, it looks like the QB coach is telling Tebow to not drop his shoulder so much, that is, stablize the shoulders for the throwing motion.

Dude's really coachable. He's really trying to implement subtle changes that have popped up as he has been working on keeping the ball high and releasing it high. He's working on the timing of the drop and the way he needs to be square at different points of the drop, and the QB coach is trying to get him to keep his non-throwing shoulder level so that he can plant more strongly with his back leg...this will give him more consistency in his release and more power in his throw.

Yeah well he has more riding on this one player then the rest IMO. Tebow's development could either make McD one of the highest paid HC's in the NFL or make him be a OC for the next ten years.

Yah, basically he's telling Tebow not to drop his leading shoulder (right) while dropping back. When he does that it forces him drop his throwing shoulder which will cause the ball to float when it's released.

He spent a lot of time with Orton last year too. And we just saw 3 minutes of film! Jeez

Who cares about an irregular throwing motion if he gets the job done? He also buys more than 1/3 of a second or more with his escapability every play anyway.

I'm pretty sure thats it. And he's still dipping the ball.

I'd also like to point out that he is wearing a Revolution helmet.
