I'm gonna say 8 - 8.

One big problem we have is that our division is getting better and we couldn't manage to beat KC and OAK when it mattered most last year (at home even). Oakland is going to be better just by getting rid of Russell.

All of our road games look hard, except maybe Arizona, Oakland, and SF. It's tough to gauge San Fran with that game an Ocean away. We go to KC in December (thanks schedule maker). At least San Diego has to come here to end the season for once.

I think it's 8 - 8 until I see some evidence (preseason) that we are a better running football team and a better run stopping team than we were at the end of last year. At this point I don't know if Jamal Williams will stay healthy or the stable of young OL we drafted are NFL ready.

I have to say I agree with this. I think we could lose to OAK in December. I say 10-6 should be expected.

Just trying to give us something fun to do, I'm already tired of the doom and gloom

I think 10-6 at this point, but we will see how things look when preseason starts in a few months.

i really think we go 10-6. i love what we did on defense for this year and i think Orton will thrive with slot receiver royal, an improved Oline (hope) and Moreno, new deep threat thomas, and gaffney takin over for Uno Cinco.

Concur.

Hopefully, it won't involve the "fast start-----> into the tank" sequence we witnessed last season. Steady progress is what I'm looking for.

I think 10-6 is the very high end of achievement. 7-9, 8-8 is more likely given the improvement within the division and the way the schedule is set up.

I say a 3rd straight 8-8 but that's ok - it'll be a rebuilding year and we'll have a decent #1 draft position in 2011. Jacksonville and Indy home games early I mark as losses but I think are winnable (just like last year's early cincy, dallas, and pats games). Win those two and we are back in the playoffs.

1 Sun Sep.12 at Jacksonville Loss
2 Sun Sep.19 VS. SEATTLE Win
3 Sun Sep.26 VS. INDIANAPOLIS Loss
4 Sun Oct. 3 at Tennessee Loss
5 Sun Oct.10 at Baltimore Loss
6 Sun Oct.17 VS. NEW YORK Jets Win
7 Sun Oct.24 VS. OAKLAND Win

9 BYE WEEK

11 Mon Nov.22 at San Diego Loss
12 Sun Nov.28 VS. ST. LOUIS Win
13 Sun Dec. 5 at Kansas City Loss
14 Sun Dec.12 at Arizona Loss
15 Sun Dec.19 at Oakland Loss
16 Sun Dec.26 VS. HOUSTON Win
17 Sun Jan. 2 VS. SAN DIEGO Win (only because chargers will have everything clinched)

I stated my prediction in another thread like this, and stand by my 8-8/9-7 decision. We are not that good of a team, but not that bad of a team as well.

Hopefully the free agents on the D-Line pay off. Hopefully Dumervil gets back on board. Hopefully Ayers makes progress. Hopefully Champ and Dawkins have enough in the tank for another year. Could be an excellent defense. But it could fall apart with age & injuries.

The definitely got some depth in the interioor line in the draft, and I think Watson has a good chance of starting. But will Harris come back at 100% and how long can he stay healthy? I think it's still going to take awhile before the line develops the way McDaniels wants.

Orton is okay up to a point. Maybe he'll hold off Quinn or maybe he won't. I think it's probably a redshirt year for Tebow - which doesn't mean he's a bad investment but I don't see anything happening until 2011.

We bascally have the same RB crew.

I'm hopeful that Thomas and/or Decker can make fast and positive contributions. But who knows.

I figure that some of these things wil work out better than expected but other things won't and when everything is said and done it's another 8-8 season with a strike and or lockout coming in 2011.
