Broncos sign ex-Dolphin ILB - The Orange Mane

The Broncos reached an agreement with free-agent inside linebacker Akin Ayodele, a ninth-year run stuffer who was the Miami Dolphins third-leading tackler with 71 last season.

Many mock-drafters had the Broncos taking Alabama inside linebacker Rolando McClain with their first-round draft pick. McClain went to Oakland at No. 8. The Broncos were looking at getting their inside linebacker in the second or third round, but the ones they wanted got away.

Ayodele will compete with Mario Haggan for the Broncos "Mike" linebacker spot in their 3-4 system. D.J. Williams will start at the "Will" inside linebacker position.

I've watched this guy play alot. He is nothing more than a below average LB at best. Horrible in pass coverage, and takes bad angles on the run.

Nothing to get excited over, unfortunalty.

I think they wanted Donald Bulter to start at ILB, but sense the chargers jumped them and took him ahead of them. They're using Ayodele as another stop gap.
