Most QB's that play in Denver usually adress the Elway Shadow right out of the gate. They may praise Elway gratuitously, but deep down they know that this is their standard and for the most part they are affected by it in some way. Greise crumbled under the weight. Plummer tried to play it cool. Cutler got defensive.
Well, in Tebow I believe that we have a player who will embrace the challenge for the fans' sake. This kid is legitimately wants to leave an impression and for that impression to translate to a good experience for the fans. Tebow will be judged in the shadow of Elway as well just as other Broncos QB's will until all of us who watched Elway annihilate the NFL die off. But I think that Tebow appreciates the fact that he gets to try to live up to Elway's standard, and that he wants the fans to be able to enjoy what he does. That's a huge difference from Greise, Plummer, or Cutler, who all seemed annoyed to a certain extent at all of the comparisons. |

Elways shadow is about a foot high now. We've had 5 starting QB's since him.

Agreed dukes.
The shadow he needs to fill is that of a drunken interception machine who spent more time blaming others for our lack of playoff success. We wasted precious years waiting for that turd to shine. Thankfully McD ended it. |

I think the Elway shadow isn't that big at this point in time. Right now all Denver QB's will be under the Cutler shadow IMO.
