Peyton Manning
Default Belichick on Tebow...

Found this interesting...

Belichick said two attributes reign above all others when it comes to quarterbacks: "Accuracy and decision-making." In light of that, take into account one head coach's appraisal of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, about whom Belichick raved at the breakfast. The coach said that, while Tebow has improved his ball position and taken some of the loop out of his delivery, the real problem is his lower half. Tebow's feet, the coach said, are not firmly planted and he gets his weight out too far on his front foot as he delivers. In addition, he doesn't pivot at the waist the way the most precise throwers do and his hips are screwy. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees were cited as prime examples of how to do it. And when you consider the speed with which Brady and Brees both get their feet set and their torsos rotating while their lower halves stay quiet, you get the point. So the bigger question regarding Tebow is, if he has a fundamental flaw that will affect his accuracy, how could the Patriots take a chance on him?

Is footwork fixable?

I'd say it is. Tebow has the athleticism to get better at it. He even talked about weight distribution on his legs in Gruden's ESPN video series after Gruden asked him about it. All stuff he's already been tweaking.

McDaniels has tweaked all these things for Brady, who went on to career seasons with McD as the OC. He tweaked a lot of it with Orton last year, who had a career season. Tebow isn't even going to be asked to play immediately with these refinements, just spend literally a full calendar year tweaking and adjusting, then see what you can do.

Is there any doubt that Tebow will fix something like this? Honestly, this guy is in 200% and will be giving the team his heart and soul. He will fix everything, and has the natural ability to be a great QB.

McDaniels was working with all of the QB's last year on their footwork. I remember it was reported that he has cameras at field level just to watch the QB's drops. It can be corrected with repetition.
