Choose your allegiances now haters.
Tebow is six feet three and 245 pounds, all thick polygons and smooth flat planes and inescapable corn-fed handsomeness. Last edited by Doggcow; 04-22-2010 at 08:41 PM.. |

I like Tebow, not where the pick happened, but I think the kid will work in the long run.

I'm in for a big yes on this one. I think that in a couple years this will be considered the steal of the draft. Great move.

Gave up a lot for Tebow.
At first glance, too much. But now he's a Bronco, I will support him. |

I also voted YES.
I have to, because if Tebow fails (to be our future franchise QB) then we have essentially wasted an opportunity to fix virtually every other weakness we had for a McD brain fart. McD I hope to hell you know what you are doing with this pick. |

Some of you will swallow anything. This franchise is in real trouble, not just a coach that is insane but a fanbase that is so willing to take any decision as gospel makes me scared for most of you.

then get of the wagon and go be a fan of the raiders/chargers or someone....there still may be room! And not to go out on a limb or anything...but i am pretty sure McD is just a LITTLE bit smarter than you when it comes to making football decisions for the Broncos....just a guess though!

I voted yes.
Tebow has won many games. He won a Heiseman trophy. He won championships. He played in a certain system at Florida, and he was quite successful and good. Some say one of the best college players ever. No question he has great character. In fact, part of the objection to him can be traced to the religious angle of his persona, and the cute quoataions on the eye black. That will change in the NFL. Lots of stats for both passing, running and winning. He works hard, knows of some of his limitations, and is highly coachable. There has been some changes already in his throwing motion. Unlike Rivers, Tebow is working on his delivery to be more conventional. I don't know what the future may hold for him, but it could be interesting to watch. What many don't realize is that McD does not value picks quite the way they do. He doesn't give a Road Apple what other people think. But in this instance, it was reported that he was forced to outbid at least one other team (Buffalo) for Tebow. I think he deserves a chance, at least as much as Quitler got. And Quitler never won a damm thing..... |

And when you and McD are wrong are you going to jump off the cliff? I want to know what you will do when the crap hits the fan? Will you try and tell us all how you knew all along this was a mistake? No matter what this guy does some will prop him up like he's a member of the family. He will never win a championship as a Bronco coach.

Of course not, I think it was a great move and I'm totally supporting this move. Denver needs someone like Tim who will bring the leadership and fire that we've been lacking for so long. We'll just have to see what happens but we should definitely start by supporting Tim! ![]() |

Maybe McD just LIKES to be doing stuff that is controversial? He sure seems to enjoy being the talk of the Nfl, even if in a bad light.
I want TT to succeed, and McD and the Broncos also, because I am a fan of the Denver Broncos. I think this is a potential disaster, and maybe a potential steal, but it is high risk. I can only hope that TT is signed to a low dollar multiyear contract. If he is so happy that McD is going to be his coach, and Denver his team, then show it by taking a lower contract. Be happy and take a lower signing bonus, knowing that you COULD have been in BUFFALO. Florida----> Buffalo? RIGHT. I have two concerns: 1. TT will take several years to get up to speed, and maybe will never be able to start at QB in the NFL. I have no doubt he will give it every bit of his effort. Not sure if that means much at this level though. You have to have the ability, as well as the will. Slow Qbs get killed here, without adequate Protection in the O line. 2. He is two or three concussions from being out of the league forever, and on his path to his life after foootball. THIS is something that worries me a lot, and I think that we have to remember. People in the NFL hit HARD, and it was just last season that TT had a major concussion. A running QB/FB type guy is at serious risk for this type injury, no matter how big he is. As said before, McD must have balls of steel. Don't concuss TT with them McD. Unfortunately this has seriously undermined my confidence in McD. He has to have a stellar draft the rest of the way this year. |
