Before last season's trade deadline, there were rumors about the Bengals sending a 1 (!) to the Cowboys for Martellus Bennett.

Schef for a 4th would be fantabulous.

We got more for Cutler than I expected, we got more for Marshall than I expected, can Mcd/Xanders to it again with trading scheffler? I agree - I doubt we get anything better than a 5th rounder for Tony.

Adam Schefter thinks scheffler has 4th round value - his latest tweet:

Adam_Schefter
2:28pm, Apr 16 from Web
RT @adair07 what is the trade value of Tony Sheffler? ... 5th-round picks popular these days; Denver wants a 3rd. Guess is a 4th - a value.

I can't imagine anyone giving up anything better than a 4th. If they are determined to get rid of him (and this looks to be a certainty) then this is as good as it could get.

He is def. worth a 4th to them. He would play a whole lot in that offense. I think people are undervaluing because of their own personal feeling toward the guy. Sheff coul be very productive to some teams with the right system.

He could really thrive in Cinci. Good for all parties.

I really think its more about the market. Santardio fetched a 5th for what will be 12 games, Boldin dealt for a 3rd and a 5th, and Scheffler while very useful is a one-dimensional tight end who quit on his team and has character issues and everyone knows he is finished in Denver

Yeah, and Marshall was a fourth rounder. Crazy how players value goes up and down depending on how they perform once they enter the NFL, right?

If Denver gets two thirds for Scheffler...

Cinci may explode.

Ginn was a 1st round pick (nineth overall pick) and he just got traded for a fifth.

I'd be jumping for joy, if we ended up with a 4th..

For some Hillis is God made flesh, so clearly Denver lost in that deal...
