Thoughts?
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-is-available/ LenDale White is available Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on April 15, 2010 3:43 PM ET L. White.jpgLenDale White signed his restricted free agent tender Thursday with the Titans, but there's at least some doubt whether he'll spend 2010 in Tennessee. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean writes that the Titans would listen to offers if anyone came calling on White during the draft. White has value. He's been a better pro than people think, but it's hard to imagine anyone giving up more than a late-round pick for him because his contract is up. The Titans are well stocked at running back with Javon Ringer in place as a long-term backup for Chris Johnson. |

I doubt White would accept being a short yardage guy only, isn't that why he wants out of Tennessee in the first place?

Isn't there any middle round boom/bust RB picks out there we could look into? I just hate to see us use up one of our first 3 picks on anything but OL/DL/LB. |

Instead of 3 yards and a cloud of dust , it would be more like 1 yard and a could of twinkie dust with Lendale...

What makes anyone think McD has an interest in running people that aren't Moreno or Buck? No one else got carries last year. We have needs--you think we should be throwing picks and cash at something we don't plan on using?

Montario Hardesty is a brutal inside runner - could also be there in the third and we had him in for a visit as well.

Buck can't stay healthy but is a great change of pace back. Moreno wore down last year. I think we take a bruising RB if we're in the right position.
My coworker seems to think the Pats want Gerhardt with their second 2nd. Not sure where he got that info from. |

Broncos should stick to puttng young guns on the roster in our search for superstars. Vets like White help you more if you are more ready to compete or have a big vet presence on the team.
Better to keep letting a lot of young players make the roster in hopes of developing a new Marshall etc etc. Moreno has to step up into the 1500 yrds area, 2000 yrds combined all purpose yrds, 10-15 tds area for Broncos offense to be good. Problems inside on oline, problems at WR. |

To me it seems like the Broncos are better off either drafting a talented, 2nd round ST Specialist-RB that can do the KR/PR thing or finding a UDFA or 2 to round out the stable...no more vets.

Obviously no one around here thinks he'd break off 2k in our system. Or is that just a given these days?

Damn right we should jump on this guy...if we could get him for a 5th...you betcha...hell I would give a 4th for this guy...great on short yardage and goal line...and like it was posted above, this guy is only 25 and that means a lot of tread left
