Default New tea party poll

seems that the tea partiers are confused again.they scream that they want lower taxes but when polled they say that they pay the right amount.

Poll: Most Tea Party Supporters Say Their Taxes Are Fair

Yet while some say the Tea Party stands for "Taxed Enough Already," most Tea Party supporters - 52 percent - say their taxes are fair, the poll shows. Just under one in five Americans say they support the Tea Party movement.

However, those most active in the Tea Party are less satisfied with the amount of income taxes they will pay. Fifty-five percent of Tea Party activists - those who have attended a rally or donated money - (about 4 percent of Americans overall) say their income taxes are unfair.

Americans overall are more likely than Tea Partiers to describe the income taxes they'll pay this year as fair - 62 percent do, according to the poll, conducted April 5 - 12.

Majorities across all income levels say their income taxes are fair, as do most Republicans and Democrats.

yep more dems are joining the tea party.

Poll: Tea Party Supporters View Palin, Beck and Bush Favorably

It remains unclear whether the Tea Party movement has a leader - or if it wants one, according to a new CBS News/ New York Times poll. But when asked specifically about a few notable figures, Tea Partiers named Fox News personality Glenn Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as favorites.

Two thirds of Tea Partiers said they had a favorable opinion of Palin, according to the poll, conducted April 5 - 12, while 59 percent have a favorable opinion of Beck.

Fifty-seven percent of Tea Partiers also think well of former Republican President George W. Bush, but only 35 percent think well of Sen. John McCain, the 2008 GOP presidential candidate.

The favorability numbers for Palin, Beck and Bush pretty much sum up the tea baggers for me:

Asked to volunteer what they don't like about Mr. Obama, the top answer, offered by 19 percent of Tea Party supporters, was that they just don't like him. Eleven percent said he is turning the country more toward socialism, ten percent cited his health care reform efforts, and nine percent said he is dishonest.

The Teabaggers will split the Republican vote and the GOP.

If only that were true. This is nothing new, though, just cyclical political backlash that has 1) marketed itself well and 2) been aided by a 24/7 news cycle/established Fox News promotion that didn't exist in '93 when a very similar "revolution" happened.

Once the elections roll around they'll almost all be voting for a Republican who has a very similar platform to every other Republican of the last decade. Which makes sense, because really what specific issue is the Tea Party fighting for? Obama bad, taxes bad? That was already the Republican line before the Tea stuff started.

And even if some of the Tea Partiers do feel upset with the Republicans, I have a hard time seeing very many going 3rd party when it will obviously only aid Obama's reelection chances. More than anything they are an anti-Obama/democrat/liberal group, and I would be surprised if they chose in large numbers to hurt the GOP, handing the Dems an easy election.

Geez, people are upset about the taxes coming their way, not the ones they have. Most of Obama's taxes haven't hit yet, but they are coming and that's what they object to. This is that difficult to comprehend? Again, read a book.

81% of Dems when asked why they liked Obama answered "he is groovy".
