Default goodbye brandon (video)

Here's a video clip of my favorite Brandon Marshall Bronco memory - his great catch and run for the go ahead touchdown vs Dallas in 2009. This one almost made my "top Bronco plays of all time" list:

I must admit, I will miss his ability to stop on a dime and change direction.

It wasn't worth it, though.

You know what else was awesome about that?

The goal line stand by our defense. The whole game played by the D, especially Champ. Way to ball Champ.

I am going to miss watching him play. I was at the NO game for an OM weekend I will never forget that TD he caught on a skiny post. When he wanted to be unbeatable he could be.

I like that catch he made last v SD right before the half, corner of the endzone.

They have a photo of it at the team store.

This is a sad, sad day to be a Broncos fan.

You can't just replace the physical tools Marshall brings to the field with a couple of draft picks (unless you get really lucky).

This blows...

I just wish I could fast-forward 5 years so I can see what the **** McD's "grand plan" is. All I know...it'd better be a good one.

His playmaking will definitely be missed. I will continue to wish good things for Brandon, on and more importantly off the field. He's a bright young guy that could make a big difference in a lot of lives if he stays upright.

Word. Totally agree with this. He seemed to be getting his head in the right place. I, too, hope is very successful and becomes a great mentor to kids. Based on what he's done for his cousin, (took him from the hood to Mullen High School and a 3.0+ GPA), it looks like he has the tools.

Very classy and well-thought out post.
I agree. I hope the guy now takes advantage of what God has given him in talent and fortune to make a difference in the lives of others...

I was at this game. My first at Invesco. I got to chat with Brandon for a few seconds before the game. He told me he was going to "get it done today." I told him I'm looming forward to it and good luck. Sure enough he made that incredible play and ran into the end zone area I was sitting in. It was a euphoric moment and one I'll never forget. I'm gonna miss watching Brandon wearing the orange and blue on Sundays. Hope he has a great career in Miami and it sucks that things couldn't work out in Denver.

It's funny, but I remember, amidst the euphoria of that play, that the aftermath was eerily similar to TO's catch where he got all emotional afterwards. I remember, vividly, thinking that this guy is literally the 2nd coming of TO.

I appreciate the time that BM gave to the Broncos, and I thoroughly enjoyed the moments that he gave us like above. I will never forget his catch and run against the Seahawks during his rookie year.

But I honestly think we're a better team without him. I wish him the best.

First play of the video, replayed from all angles.

I remember watching that play live and thinking...HOLY CRAP what a great draft! We are gonna have these two hooking up and breaking records for the next 12 years!

Ugggghhhhh.....
